Consultant
Andrew Evans
Senior Partner from 2008. Chartered Engineer specialising in historic and listed buildings.
Background
After completing his degree in 1979, Andrew worked for 4 years in Dublin, initially for Thomas Garland & Partners working mainly industrial units and then Thomas Garland & Partners designing office blocks and shopping centres. Returning to the UK in 1983 he gained wide experience with the Oscar Faber Partnership. The projects ranged from multi million pound prisons through to refurbishment projects in London and a major forensic investigation related to the partial failure of West Midlands Car Park.
Andrew became an Associate Partner in July 1989 and a Partner in July 1990, three years after joining the firm. He subsequently developed a specialism in historic and listed buildings as well as an interest in using new and innovative materials and design techniques. Andrew was instrumental in installing the firm's highly customised AutoCAD system and ensures the Partnership always has the necessary state of the art software.
He became Senior Partner in 2008 when Dennis Swinden retired.
Andrew works alongside the rest of the partners and principal staff across our full range of services, from single beam calculations through to multi-million pound developments.
